Cherishing the Holidays and Embracing What’s Ahead
As I sit here with the glow of the Christmas tree lighting up the room, I can’t help but reflect on what this time of year truly means. For me, the holidays have always been about more than just the decorations or the gifts. They’re about connection—moments spent with family and friends that remind us of what really matters.
This year, I’ve found myself approaching the holidays with a new perspective. Instead of replaying old memories or holding onto things that didn’t go as planned, I’m choosing to focus on the here and now. I’m making it a priority to be fully present with the people I love and to look toward the future with hope and excitement.

Creating New Memories
One of my favorite traditions during the holidays is gathering around the table with loved ones, sharing stories, and laughing until our stomachs hurt. This year, I made a conscious effort to not just show up physically but to be emotionally present, too. No distractions, no worrying about work or the endless to-do list—just quality time.
Recently, I took a trip to Snoqualmie to capture snow-covered landscapes for The Frederick Collection. The quiet beauty of the snow reminded me of how important it is to slow down and appreciate the simple moments. It was a much-needed pause to reflect on all the blessings this year has brought, even amid its challenges.

Letting Go of the Past
If I’m being honest, letting go hasn’t always been easy for me. Like many, I’ve held onto moments I wish I could rewrite or outcomes I wish I could change. But the truth is, the past doesn’t define us—it shapes us. This year, I’ve made peace with the fact that some things are meant to stay in the rearview mirror, so we can focus on the road ahead.
One thing I’ve realized is that holding onto the past often robs us of the present. This season, I’m choosing to let go of regrets and embrace gratitude for everything that’s brought me to this moment. Whether it’s time spent with family, creating art, or stepping into new opportunities, I want to give my all to what’s in front of me.

Looking Ahead with Intention
As 2025 approaches, I feel a renewed sense of purpose. I have big dreams for the future, especially in my journey as a public speaker. Next year, I want to inspire others through my story, focusing on growth, resilience, and the courage to chase what sets your soul on fire.
For me, the holidays are the perfect reminder that every ending is also a beginning. Each year brings a chance to rewrite our story and step into the person we’re meant to be. That’s a gift we all deserve to celebrate.

A Holiday Wish for You
From my heart to yours, I hope this holiday season brings you moments of peace and joy. Whether it’s laughing with family over a favorite dish, watching the snow fall outside your window, or simply taking a quiet moment for yourself, I hope you find the magic in the present.
As we step into the new year, let’s commit to letting go of the things that weigh us down and embracing the possibilities ahead. Here’s to creating memories, cherishing our connections, and living fully in the moment.
Happy holidays, and cheers to a future filled with light, love, and endless possibilities.
With love,
Norris
