When I reflect on my journey as an entrepreneur, I’m reminded of all the times I doubted myself, celebrated wins, and leaned into uncertainty. Starting something from nothing isn’t just a career—it’s a calling. And trust me, it’s a wild, unpredictable, and deeply rewarding ride.
I didn’t always know I’d be an entrepreneur. Like many of you, I started with a dream, not a roadmap. I had ideas that excited me but no manual on how to make them come alive. My ventures—from The Frederick Collection gallery to Frederick Films, and even the opportunities I’m pursuing in public speaking and brand collaborations—didn’t just appear out of thin air. They were built from long nights, early mornings, and a fierce belief in turning passion into purpose.
The Highs and the Lows
People often see the success but not the sacrifices. Behind the art shows, the travel experiences, and the business pitches, there were moments of doubt. I remember days when I questioned whether I was in over my head, wondering if I had what it took to succeed.
But here's the thing about doubt: it’s often a sign you’re pushing yourself to grow. And growth isn’t comfortable—it’s challenging, messy, and full of lessons. Every failure taught me something valuable. Every setback strengthened my resolve.
And then there are the highs—the moments when your efforts pay off, when you see your vision resonate with others. Like the opening of my art gallery, which was more than just an event; it was a celebration of everything I had worked for. Those moments remind me why I started.
Why This Journey Matters
I BELIEVE IN SOMETHING BIGGER THAN ME.
Entrepreneurship, for me, is about more than just business. It’s about impact. It’s about creating something meaningful that inspires others. Whether it’s offering an escape through art, storytelling through film, or motivating someone during a keynote speech, my ventures are extensions of who I am.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that the journey isn’t meant to be perfect—it’s meant to be yours. Each person’s path is unique, shaped by their dreams, challenges, and determination.
A Message for Fellow Dreamers
If you’re reading this and considering taking that leap, my advice is simple: start. You won’t have all the answers, and that’s okay. Surround yourself with people who believe in your vision, who will challenge you, and who will cheer you on.
Your journey will look different from mine, and that’s what makes it beautiful. Entrepreneurship isn’t about having it all figured out—it’s about figuring it out as you go.
So, here’s to all the dreamers, the risk-takers, and the doers. Keep going. Your story is just getting started.
